How COVID-19 impacts us? What should we do now?

How COVID-19 impacts us? What should we do now?

I hope you and your family are doing well.

On 27/4/2020, New Zealand has gone through 4 weeks of Lockdown due to COVID-19 Alert Level 4.

Things have changed since this pandemic crisis, most of the activities are now Online or over the Internet.

Employees started to work from home whenever possible, student started online classes (e-learning), household ordered grocery online, doctors started online consultation and many more.

So, what does this mean to digital marketing?

Your business online presence is now more important than ever. Almost everyone stays online during this period to search for products or services they needed.

If you’re doing nothing on digital marketing now, your business is missing out this opportunity. “Opportunities are always everywhere, learn to see and create them.”

I personally like a quote from Warren Buffett – “Be Fearful When Others Are Greedy and Greedy When Others Are Fearful”.

When people is worried about the crisis, we as a business owner should remain calm and take full force of what we can control in our business.

When others are pulling back on marketing, this is your chance to gain more market awareness and get the business as soon as people are able to act.

Fear kills more people than death

Lockdown does not mean do nothing on your business. It’s important to React, Not to panic.

What should we do now?

  • Stay calm ! Keep a positive attitude.
  • Look at different ways to improve your business.
  • Create a plan on how to adapt your business operations.
  • Boost your marketing on different channels (SEO, Paid traffics, Social Media and so on) – We could help on this.
  • Communicate with your team, clients and stakeholders.
