WeBrand is a New Zealand-based digital and software development company. We develop the RecoverIQ recovery coaching application, which integrates with Garmin Connect to provide personalized recovery coaching and training recommendations.

fitness data imported from Garmin Connect for the RecoverIQ application.

Garmin Connect Integration

WeBrand integrates with Garmin Connect to provide recovery advice services on Garmin watch app. This section describes how we handle your Garmin health and fitness data.

Data Access

When you authorize this integration, you grant WeBrand permission to access your health and fitness data from Garmin Connect, including:

  • Heart Rate Variability (HRV)
  • Resting Heart Rate (RHR)
  • Sleep data
  • Training load
  • Recovery metrics
  • Stress levels
  • You authorize access to Garmin Connect data via OAuth 2.0 authentication
  • We never store your Garmin password or login credentials
  • Authorization is explicit; we do not access data without your permission
  • You can review and revoke permissions in your Garmin Connect settings at any time
  • Revoking access stops future data sync but does not delete previously imported data

Data Usage

We use Garmin data ONLY to:

  1. Calculate your recovery score
  2. Generate personalized recommendations
  3. Display trends and analytics
  4. Send weekly recovery reports

Data Protection & Security

  • All Garmin data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher
  • All Garmin data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption
  • Access to Garmin data is restricted to authorized personnel only
  • We conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
  • We do not share Garmin data with third parties except as required by law
  • We do not sell or monetize Garmin data
  • In the event of a data breach, users will be notified within 30 days

Data Retention

  • Active Garmin data is cached for up to 30 days for performance purposes
  • Recovery scores calculated from your data are retained for 90 days
  • You can request deletion of all Garmin-derived data at any time
  • Upon account deletion, all Garmin data is removed within 30 days
  • We do not retain Garmin data longer than necessary to provide the service

  • Access: Request a copy of your Garmin data we hold
  • Delete: Request deletion of your account and all Garmin data
  • Correct: Request correction of inaccurate data
